AGENDA ITEMS
1. Carry over items:
a) Youth Development Camp Sat 10 & Sun 11 Oct 09:
40 attending including 30 participants. Many thanks to the helpers from Henley, Moana, Seacliff, Grange & Brighton Clubs.
Thankyou to S Cornish SLSASA for their $500.00 assistance package.
Participants cost is $25.00 pp & the cabin/complex cost is $330.00 for the weekend.
Action: K Marks to provide report at November meeting.

b) Boat Event Program:
• Carnival Event Calendar:
President presented updated 09-10 Calendar:
1. Moana interested in hosting State Masters
2. Navy carnivals included in Program
3. Point score double for all categories excluding Reserve & Masters Division
4. Seeding of events to occur for each draw across all Divisions
5. Venue gaps in Calendar are –
a) Sun 6 Dec 2009 Ocean Thunder (OT) qualifier for R#4
b) Sun 14 Feb 2010 Senior Carnival #4
c) Sat 20 Feb 2010 SA Masters State Titles
d) Sun 21 Feb 2010 SA Masters State Titles
Action: Secretary to circulate updated Calendar.
• Level 1 Coaching Course: Another course to be advised.
• Aspiring Sweep Course & junior rowing course Sat 17 & Sun 18 October 2009:
Action: Clubs to indicate preference for Sat or Sun attendance to Don Alexander.
2. Ongoing Agenda Items
1.ASRL SA Constitution.
2.Arch & Marks’ Women’s Sweep Encouragement Award.
3.100 years Gallipoli boat concept 2015.
4. Business Arising from Previous Minutes:
a) ASRL Vice President update:
• Navy series – nomination forms being sent out shortly & all returns to be centralised back through John Devitt
b) ASRL SA Annual Dinner & Presentation Night Sat 3 July 2010 at Brighton SLSC:
Brighton SLSC BOM confirmed booking – dinner cost $42.00 pp.
c) Pt Augusta 2009/10 Series-Carnival Sat 7th November 2009:.
A number of community crews plus SAPOL, BHP & Council.
Action: Council to advise swim through event & tug of war requirements/arrangements
Action: Accommodation bookings for Western Hotel to be advised if available for Officials for 2010.
Golf Day on Fri 6 Nov 12:30pm start– John Brown organising. Clubs interested include Glenelg, Henley & South Port.
Action: Secretary to issue flyer & Clubs to advise details of people interested to John Brown by 2 Nov 09.
Action: Need to ascertain if Council & sponsors are interested in participating in Golf Day + do we want to have Post Golf Day drinks with Council & sponsors at the golf club after the game.
Action: Secretary to issue nomination forms to clubs & entries required back to Secretary by Tuesday 2 Nov 09.
d) Mildura Boat Event:
Action: A Aitchison to follow up Council on details. CD issued to K Marks.
e) Boat Srutineering arrangements:
Action: Brighton, Grange & North Haven to arrange for their new boats to be weighed through Steve Sims before competing in first carnival. Aldinga to organise through John Devitt.

4. Any Other Business:
1. President advised Coopers are contributing beer & clothing to the ASRL events including the State Team.
2. Boat Panel nominated & accepted – Bill Gaynor Grange, Ray Wright Brighton, Don Alexander South Port, Peter Tidswell Glenelg & Trevor Mulvihill Henley.
3. Appeals Panel – Steve Sims to advise membership.
4. Kevin Marks expressed interest in obtaining ASRL t-shirt.
