INTERESTING FACTS

One thing you may not know about me is: I'm a Star Trek geek, and I own a Hattori Hanso (sword from Kill Bill)

Greatest Achievement in Sport: World Title in Italy in 2004 (For the journey as much as the win).  Also Winning 2008 Vic Title due to the extreme bad luck of the year before 2nd.

Greatest Achievement in Life: I am the smartest woman in the world because I married who I did, it's an achievement to choose the right person. Also travelling, living, working overseas.

Family Involvement in Sport: my husband is the official Jan Juc Boatie Bitch

Surfboat Racing to me is: All consuming and enriched my life and one of the most gratifying things I’ve ever done

The hardest thing about boat rowing is: The time it takes me away from my family and friends.

Best place you’ve ever been to and why? Viareggio, Italy - the food, culture, the vespa's and the great company. Also Christmas in Denmark for family, snow and fairy lights.

Goal for the 2008 : To make it to top 6 at Aussies then it's game on.  You make it that far and anyone could and deserves to win it!

Best Rowing Results:   2x Victorian Titles (2004 & 2008)
1st Wold titles Viareggio Italy 2004
2 x Top 8 Aussies (2006 & 2007)

WHY SURFBOATS WIN OVER RIVER BOATS: The adrenalin rush when going over waves and trailing, the team environment, the social aspect and the ability to train hard, do well and still have a life.

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE QUOTES IS: Believe in yourself and in your plan....say not, I cannot; but, I can....the prizes of life we fail to win because we doubt the power within.
